All athletes get an awesome safe, fun, family event, a finishers medal or similar and an ice cold aQuelle finishers drink!

NEW TINMAN SERIES LEADERBOARD

The new TINMAN Series Leaderboard adds an exhilarating layer to the competition, assigning points strategically to the top 10 participants per event.

This scoring system, ranging from 10 points for the leader to 1 point for the 10th position, adds a thrilling dynamic to each race. It amplifies the stakes, as athletes not only vie for individual event victories but also strategically accumulate points over the series.

The leaderboard transforms each race into a chessboard of tactics, enhancing the overall intensity and fostering a heightened sense of competition.

The new Leaderboard ensures that consistency and excellence are duly rewarded in this prestigious triathlon series.

Teams are allowed to enter and participate in relay formation only.

RACE BRIEFING: Race day at the start area (see final instructions for details)

All Final Instructions race details will be emailed out to athletes 48hrs prior to the event.  

Swim Caps: Athletes to provide their own swim caps

Floating Devices: As per TSA (Traithlon South Africa) / ITU regulations – no floating devices can be used in the swimming portion of the race.

DRAFTING:

 

Athletes will receive final race instructions via email 48hrs prior to race day. The final instructions will sepcifically state whether the race course is either draft-legal or draft-illegal.

 

What is a “draft-legal” event? An event is Draft legal due to the Bike course. NO Time Trial Bikes are allowed under any circumstances. Women are not allowed to draft men. Men are not allowed to draft women.

 

What does “draft-illegal” mean? This means that athletes are NOT allowed to draft others on race course.


CUT OFF TIME: Cut off for Races: 3.5hrs

WETSUITS: Wetsuit decision is made on race day by TSA (Triathlon South Africa) officials as the decision is based on the race day conditions.
